VistaPDB Select Volume

Selections

VistaPDB allows users to select residues within a certain distance to the currently selected residues and current selected heterogens.

To select nearby residues, go to Tools -> Pick Residues Near Selections
In the new window indicate the distance and whether to query side chains or side chains and main chain atoms. The table represents the current residues and heterogens to assay.
Click calculate to determine residues within the given distance. Residues within this distance will be added to the current selection.
To hide all residues exception for the the newly selected residues, go to Layer -> Current Selection -> Hide Unselected.
